What is Iu-Mienh? Iu-Mienh is the ethnic of "Mien," which simply means "People." In China, the Mien people are refer to as Yao, which is where the "Iu" is from.

Mien or Mienh? Mien refers to the culture or (group) which means "people" when translated. Mienh or Iu-Mienh refers to the identity or the individual.

As I was going through the educational system and learning about others' histories, I often wondered about my own. With little source available at the school's library, I venture to the Internet in hope that the information was out there. But to my dismay, with the exception of a few sites, there were little information available at the time.

So what is MIENVISION.NET? It is created as a place for people to come and learn about the Mien people. It is an indexing site of information from various online and offline sources. It is a resource for those that were like me that had a hard time finding any relevant information about the Mien people for their school's writing assignments.
